A SPEECH BY ODENEHO KWAFO AKOTO III, AKWAMUMANHENE AT THE AKWAMUMAN HOME COMING REUNION DURBAR AT AKWAMUFIEON NOVEMBER 10, 2012
First and foremost I am grateful to the Divine Creator (for touching the hearts of the good people of Akwamuman to pave the way for my enstoolment as the Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III. (While it is God who enstools, He does so through the will of the people). Any human effort for the selection of a leader is not devoid of challenges and bitter struggle, but when the Divine hands of God guide the process, ultimately a temporary bitter process leads to a better future for all. This is my prayer and I am sure the prayer of the thousands of Akwamumma and friends of Akwamuman everywhere.

Museum Dedication

A New Museum for Akwamuman

A brand new museum of culture and history has been dedicated in Akwamufie, the spiritual and political capital of the Akwamu State. The museum was built by the Government of Ghana in recognition of the outstanding contribution the Akwamu people have made to the history, culture and contemporary socio-economic development of Ghana. Ghana's Minister of Culture and Tourism and the District Executive Officer of the Asuogyaman District Assembly represented the Government. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Odeneho Nana Kwafo Akoto III, the current Omanhene of Akwamuman; the Queenmother of Akwamuman, Nana Afrakoma II and other Chiefs from the various towns in the Akwamu State and other regions. The museum will house the numerous historical relics, photographs, documents and artifacts that reflect the rich culture and history of Akwamuman since the 1500s. It will offer educational programs, lectures, seminars and workshops on matters relating to Akwamu in the history of Ghana.

On behalf of the Omanhene, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III and the numerous branches of the Aduana Family I extend  special Royal greetings, gratitude and good wishes to the good people of Akwamuman and other citizens of Ghana and friends of Akwamuman here at home and around the world.
